Co-Producer of “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” Talks about Challenges of Adapting a Classic

Like many people, Douglas Gresham is a big fan of, "The Chronicles of Narnia," but that’s not surprising; he’s the step-son of C.S. Lewis. Having read and reread these books for the better part of 50 years, Gresham insisted in a recent interview that he was one of the strictest Narnia fans alive. It is love for The Chronicles that caused Gresham to hold tight reins over these books and eventually put him in the position of co-producer for the first Disney film, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” where, according to the producer Mark Johnson, no one could sneeze without Gresham's permission. Douglas Gresham donned his co-producing hat for the second film in the series, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, which opens May 16.
