Bible Teacher Rodney Lewis Boyd Offers Insight into Prosperity and Success in Encouraging New Book

Bible teacher, Speech-Language Pathologist, and #1 Amazon.com Bestselling author Rodney Lewis Boyd is thrilled to unveil his latest book, Biblical Prosperity and Success: Ruminator Style, which released to retail on May 24, 2023 from WordCrafts Press.

“This book is about a controversial topic both within and outside of Christendom,” Boyd explains. “It deals with prosperity and success. On one side of the spectrum you have those who think that it is God’s will for you to have lots of cash, fancy cars, large ornate houses, 401(k) plan—in general, stuff. On the other side of the spectrum are people who feel that to be truly spiritual you have to be at the poverty level, and if you have not taken a vow of poverty then you must be in the sin. But this book advocates for neither the name-it-and-claim-it prosperity gospel nor the severe self-denial of some acetic cults.”

Boyd contends that God’s heartbeat is not against success, prosperity, and money, but His desire if for His people to be good stewards of everything He has entrusted to them.

“After all,” Boyd says, “it is all His. I define success as accomplishing the purpose of God in our lives, and prosperity as having enough to meet our needs—not our greed—and an overflow to help meet the needs of others.”

In a world of socialism, communism, capitalism, and every other kind of –ism, the question is not what you’ve got, but what are you doing with what you’ve been given?

“While we are talking about the Biblical Principles of Prosperity and Success, I would be remiss in not pointing out that just because someone does not have a lot of prosperity or success in the eyes of the world, does not make them any less prosperous or successful in the eyes of God,” Boyd insists. “The New Testament Book of Hebrews offers a case in point. It includes a list of people who gone before us and by faith gained approval and had wonderful, positive revelatory insights into God’s prosperity and success. But starting in Hebrews 11:36 there is a shift of thought concerning other saints.”

“And others experienced mockings and scourgings, yes also chains and imprisonment. They were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute afflicted, ill-treated (men of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the ground.”

“These verses do not negate the idea of prosperity and success,” Boyd muses. “Instead, they undergird that fact that no matter what happens, God is in control.”

Praise for Biblical Prosperity and Success

Boyd’s eleventh book immediately struck a nerve with readers and generated effusive praise from both clergy and lay readers alike.

Biblical Prosperity and Success is the heartbeat of Rodney Boyd, a friend for nearly fifty years,” declared Paul Bane, Pastor Emeritus at New Hope Community Church in Brentwood, Tennessee. “He writes uniquely and powerfully of his life experience. I know you will learn and grow from the “Ruminator” who loves Jesus and lives out what he teaches.”

Biblical Prosperity and Success: Ruminator Style should be read by anyone wanting to be successful and fulfilled according to scripture,” added Debbie Rowland, retired senior vice president, FirstBank. “Mr. Boyd does possess these desires and I would call him very successful.”

“This book to me reveals that God does indeed desire man to become, and to maintain, success in his lifetime, albeit only in His will, in His timing, and for His glory,” said neurologist Paul Buechel, M.D., author of Rise and Soar and Trailblazer. “While some goals can certainly be attained by man without God, such will in that instance never fulfill us, nor complete the marvelous plan He intends for each one of us, individually! Therefore, until we get ourselves aligned with our loving Creator Father’s will and plan, we shall never achieve the full measure of His intended pending waterfall of blessings, those which He so greatly desires to bestow upon each of His children! Thus, I greatly encourage the reading of Rodney’s Biblical Prosperity and Success: Ruminator Style! Its insights and questions would be excellent for a Bible study/small group study, as well.”
