Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, the Biggest celebration of sharks for 35 years, kicks off on Sunday, July 23

This year’s television event welcomes host Jason Momoa, who will set up epic journeys and first-time revelations each night.

Shark Week shows will feature new shark behavior, breathtaking moments, and never-before-seen footage of sharks mating – a first for the event – as well as an up close and personal look at a great white shark feeding frenzy captured by a shark scientist staked out inside a whale carcass decoy.

Programming features nearly 20 hours of specials, including cocaine sharks that feed on drugs dumped into South Florida waters.

Shark Week will also be available to stream on Max.
