Bestselling Author Brooks Eason Taps into the Primal Need for Friendship and Connection in his New Novel
Amazon.com bestselling author Brooks Eason is pleased to announce the release of his latest novel, I Remember Everything: A Tale of Friendship. Eason’s novel immediately connected with readers, evoking a visceral response and compelling David Magee, bestselling author of Dear William, to call it, “A gripping, heartfelt story of friendship and the choices that define us. Brooks Eason captures the magic of boyhood bonds, the weight of life’s hardest decisions, and the enduring pull of shared history. I Remember Everything is rich with warmth, suspense, and humanity—an unforgettable tale that lingers long after the lastpage.”
The novel is already finding its audience, climbing to the Number 7 position on Amazon.com’s Hot New Releases in the Travel Adventure Fiction category.
Sam Thompson and Jeff Freeman become best friends on the day they meet in the summer they turn eight. Sam serves as the best man in Jeff’s wedding and, a decade later, they swap roles. They name their sons for each other and remain best friends until the night of a shocking twist of fate in 2023.
I Remember Everything traces their lives for more than five decades, from growing up to growing old, and follows them on grand adventures to some of the most magnificent rivers and mountains in America. In his seventh book, Brooks Eason has crafted an unforgettable tale of enduring friendship and having to say goodbye.
The novel also explores their mutual love for the music of the late John Prine, one of America’s greatest songwriters, and “I Remember Everything” is also the title of Prine’s last song.
“More than anything, the book is about friendship,” says author Brooks Eason. “The two main characters become best friends on the day they meet and remain best friends for the next fifty-five years. Writing the story reminded me that I should spend more time with my friends—laughing, telling stories, and sitting by campfires—and less time staring at screens. I hope readers will be reminded to do that too.”
“Perhaps best known in the literary world as a biographer and memoirist, Brooks Eason is, at his heart, a great storyteller,” says Mike Parker, publisher at WordCrafts Press. “I Remember Everything is so rich in detail, so meticulously word-smithed, so emotionally charged it’s easy to forget you’re reading a novel. It just feels so real that putting this novel down is not an option.”
