Popular Outdoorsman, Radio & TV Personality, and Author Joey Monteleone Reveals his Secrets for Catching Big Fish in his #1 Amazon.com Bestseller, Strictly Big Bass

Popular multimedia communicator Joey Monteleone is no stranger to fans of the Great Outdoors. A 2017 Legends of the Outdoors inductee and the Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s 2024 Communicator of the Year, Monteleone is a third-degree karate black belt (and three-time Eastern USA fighting champion), a seasoned fishing guide who has caught fish all over North America, the author of multiple highly regarded fiction and non-fiction titles, in addition to being a beloved TV and radio personality.

While Joey has spent much of his adult life teaching outdoor enthusiasts how to catch fish, with his latest Number 1 Amazon.com Bestseller, Strictly Big Bass; Proven Trophy Tactics, which released on September 5, 2024 from WordCraftsPress, Joey insists his goal is not to help you catch a bunch of fish; it’s to help you catch a bunch of BIG fish.

In his trademark straight-forward, often humorous style, Joey quips, “Conventional fishing catches conventional fish. But truly BIG bass are different, they break the rules. To land BIG bass you must develop a stealthy approach, silent and subtle. And if you have electronics on your boat, don’t let them separate you from your senses.”

From the Book

Little fish are liars; big fish hold all the secrets.

Catching any fish is an accomplishment. We’ve all heard it many times, I just want to catch at least one. It could be a kid on a creek bank or a seasoned angler in a high-powered bass boat, all in search of that elusive bass. It all begins with that silent prayer for somedegree of success; fool that wonderfully wild creature into taking the bait.

The journey can be with a cup of worms or an enormous collection of plastic boxes holding this season’s can’t miss artificial baits. Most of us can easily recall two fish—the first one and the biggest one. The trap we fall into is the goal of not getting skunked, zeroing and telling our fish story about the reasons they weren’t biting that day or the painful tale about the one that got away. In our quest to catch fish, even the smallest bass gives us that feeling of accomplishment—I did it! Unfortunately, this masks what every person truly wants—that monster fish that gives us bragging rights. With each cast we display that eternal optimism of I’m going to set the hook on a giant.

My goal with this book is not to help you catch a bunch of fish, it’s to help you catch a bunch of BIG fish.

“In this book, Strictly Big Bass, my long time friend of over forty years reveals things he’s learned in a lifetime of catching trophy bass, things you probably never knew about America’s number one game fish,” declared fishing legend Bill Dance. “Strictly Big Bass is simply another masterpiece from one of the best fishermen in the world. Strictly Big Bass should be on every angler’s shelf!”

“I’m 76 years at this writing,” adds fellow angler Michael Vines. “I’ve been fishing since I was nine years old when I started chasing that receding horizon. One would think I’d mastered the sport by now. But Strictly Big Bass is a welcome, refreshing, out-of-the-box approach to capturing lunker bass on a consistent basis.”
