WordCrafts,LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Parker, Founder and Publisher of WordCrafts Press, to The Alzheimer’s Treatment Foundation advisory board. The Alzheimer’s Treatment Foundation is a leading independent non-profit dedicated to improving access to treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and Brain Fog from Long COVID for America’s underinsured. When health insurance is not enough, they help fill the gap by assisting with copays, premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses. The Alzheimer’s Treatment Foundation awards grants through their designated funds to help patients afford essential treatments, state-of-the-art modalities, nutraceuticals, and amazing pharmaceutical medications.

“Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia can be devastating for families toendure, and I speak from personal experience,” Parker says of his decision to join thefoundation’s advisory board. “Losing a loved one is never easy, but losing a loved one to Alzheimer’s or dementia is like losing them twice. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that everyone has an Alzheimer’s story, and none of them end happily ever after.”

About Phil Vassar

Phil Vassar became a force on the country music scene beginning in 1999, following the release of his self-titled debut album. That record included his first single, “Carlene,” which featured backing vocals from 90s country hitmaker and longtime friend Collin Raye and climbed to No. 5 on the country airplay chart. Not long after, he snagged his first No. 1 hit with “Just Another Dayin Paradise,” marking the beginning of a long-running streak of success for the Virginia native. So far, he’s released seven studio albums and won over fans with trademark songs like “In a Real Love,” “American Child,” “Six-Pack Summer” and “I Would.”

About Jimmie Allen
Jimmie Allen’s sound emphasizes melody and grooves inequal measure. This slick, assured style helped lift his2018 debut album, Mercury Lane, up to number 11 on the country chart, taking the singles “Best Shot” and “Make Me Want To” to number one on Billboard’s CountryAirplay chart. His 2021 EP Bettie James, which featured the Noah Cyrus duet “This Is Us” and the Brad Paisley duet, and Country Airplay number one, “Freedom Was a Highway” in its expanded “Gold Edition.” In its wake, Allen received belated New Artist nods from the CMA Awards and Grammys in 2021—he won the former—setting up the release of his proper second album, Tulip Drive, in the summer of 2022.

About Jay Allen
In addition to performing, the 37-year-old country music star will share the story of his beloved late mother, Sherry Rich, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 51 and passed away from the disorder at age 54 in 2019. Before his mother passed, and especially when performing in the Midwest near his parents’ home in Iowa, Jay brought his mother onto the stage with him. The first time was a concert in August 2018. More than one hour into his set, he walked off-stage, grabbed his mother’s hand, brought her to the microphone and sang, “Blank Stares,” the song he wrote about Sherry and the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s.

About Mark Schneider
Mark has been a performing musician since the late 1970s, playing and singing with several major nationally touring bands. He took a 15-year hiatus from music to work in the corporate world and raise his family, but he has come back to his music with a vengeance. As well as being a talented guitarist and singer, Mark is a gifted songwriter with a style reminiscent of musicians like theEagles and James Taylor. Mark and his all-star band will kick off his new 22- song, double vinyl album release on March 1, 2025, at Analog in Nashville.

Additional confirmed guests for the event include Top 20 American Idol contender Mariah Faith, prominent entertainment attorney Timothy Loudermilk, former NFL player Jeff Dellenbach (Super Bowl winner with the Green Bay Packers), sister duo Presley & Taylor, film producer/screenwriter Lori Fischer, book publisher Mike Parker, songwriter Bobby Fischer, television and radio broadcaster Storme Warren, Pulitzer Prize nominated novelist Paula K. Parker, and Rudy Pérez, an International songwriter, producer, arranger, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. During the last 30 years, he has composed over 1,000 songs with over 300 of them becoming top ten hits and many hitting No. 1. Rudy was named Producer of the Decade by Billboard Magazine for having more top ten hits than any other producer from 2000-2010.

Fighting Alzheimer’s One Patient at a Time
“There are currently an estimated 15 million Americans afflicted with Alzheimer’s and dementia. That figure is expected to soar to 23 million within the next 25 years. The financial barriers for underinsured patients seeking treatment of Alzheimer’s and dementia is a very real struggle,” says Douglas W. Collins, Director of Business Development & Investor Relations at Alzheimer’s Treatment Centers of America. “We want to build abridge for these patients by raising money that creates access to state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence and personalized precision medicine. Proceeds from the foundation also subsidize the cash portion of the cost of treatments for patients who otherwise could not afford it.”
