Written and arranged by the Annie Moses Band, “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” is a panoramic exploration of America and her music. Featuring favorites from Aaron Copland, George Gershwin and other American originals, the show fuses Appalachian bluegrass, Irish fiddle, classic themes and roots music to create a beautiful and transporting concert experience.

Beginning with a rousing arrangement of the New England colonial tune, “The Girl I Left Behind Me,” “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” traces a musical trail West, rediscovering timeless songs that defined American music like “Summertime,” “Shenandoah,” as well as forging new ground in originals like the epic Copland-esque number, “Go West, Pioneer!”

“Rhapsody in Bluegrass” is a new step in the celebrated career of the Annie Moses Band. With accolades that include 1200+ hours on PBS, two chart topping albums, and recent debuts at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry, Annie Moses Band is redefining American music.

Jung-Ho Pak, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Cape Cod Symphony says of the Annie Moses Band:

“Our audiences had an overwhelming experience. Their combination of high energy, raw talent, and showmanship is a consistent recipe for success.”

“With ‘Rhapsody in Bluegrass,’ we wanted to cover the scope of the American musical landscape,” says Annie Dupre, lead vocalist of the Annie Moses Band. “We can’t wait to share this cinematic experience with audiences.”
