Mike Parker – With all of the business success you have had, one would assume you could pursue almost any new business venture you want. What attracted you to Bible360?

John Kilcullen – I’ve had a long and successful career and much of it in the publishing industry. What better book to be involved with than the greatest book every written. As new technologies have developed I wanted to be a part of the digital/tv experience that incorporates that book. There are multiple projects in the works beyond what is available now. It was just a fantastic opportunity to build a brand.

Parker – In a thumbnail, what exactly is Bible360?

Kilcullen – It is an interactive Bible. It uses the best new technology to breath fresh life into the scriptures. It includes maps and media, photos, artwork, you can literally view regions such as Jerusalem in 360 panaramic degrees. You can get customized reading plans. It is designed to enhance your Bible reading experience and to help you share those experiences with your social media network.

Parker – I understand Bible360 will be built on, or at least incorporate the digital platform developed for the Glo Bible. How easy will it be for novice social networkers to use?

Kilcullen – Quite easy. You can use twitter or facebook, or if your are not particularly computer savvy, you can use it via email.

Parker – How are you getting the word out about Bible360?

Kilcullen – We have launched a marketing campaign in newspapers, magazines, Oprah. We have a great partnership with JesusDaily. We’ll be rolling out new campaigns in other areas as time progresses.

Parker – What do you hope to accomplish with this project?

Kilcullen – We wanted to make the ultimate digital Bible available, so that the greatest number of people can reconnect with their faith. We hope to facilitate Bible studies and make it easier for pastors, youth pastors, and leaders to engage their congations with these resources.

Parker – Last words?

Kilcullen – I want everyone to stay tuned. There is much more to come. It’s a free download at http://www.bible360.com/, so please share it with your friends.
